SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School

Location: Stockport

Start date: ASAP

Contract type: Full-time/ temp to perm

Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist school in the Stockport area to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant. The school supports primary and secondary aged students using innovative and reflective approaches.

About the role  

  • Ability to support students with complex communication and education needs
  • Work one-to-one with students across classroom and physical activities
  • Support students with Autism, sensory impairments and physical activities
  • Provide personal care and mobility support
  • Foster student’s independence, communication and social skills

About you

  • Experience in care or education settings
  • Understanding of complex needs, learning disabilities, Autism, sensory impairments
  • Empathy, resilience and excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to positive outcomes
  • An Enhanced child & adult DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
