SEND Support Assistant – Flexible opportunities across the Stockport and Tameside area

Teaching Personnel are looking for those who have a background in supporting SEND needs to provide support to SEN/SEMH focused schools across East Manchester.
What this could look like for you
- Primarily classroom based/Learning support roles
- Supporting complex needs, mental health challenges and behavioural issues
- Working with young people with additional needs including autism, sensory needs, PMLD and medical support
- Day-to-day work, short-term and long-term placements
- Variety and the opportunity to works across different schools
- The opportunity to gain a range of experience
Who we are looking for
- Experience in supporting young people in a school or care environment within the UK
- Availability to work 08:30-15:30, Monday-Friday
- Confidence in supporting instances of challenging behaviour
- Experience of working with SEN, including complex autism and communication issues.
- A positive and proactive attitude.
- A real passion for making a difference to young people’s lives
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
