Job description

Here at Teaching Personnel we are seeking passionate mentors to work on a 1:1 basis in SEN schools in Plymouth. SEN schools provide support for children who are no longer in mainstream education who struggle with school.

You will be assisting them with their learning and wellbeing to engage them back into Education. Confidence in behaviour management is crucial. Experience is not necessary but those who have a background in youth work, support work or residential care are encourage to apply.

If you have a DBS on the Update Service, minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health or social care and a clean, full driving licence then this could be the ideal job for you!

For those who do not have DBS on the Update Service, then we can fully assist you in applying for a new one at a standard cost of £44, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
