Media Studies Teacher - Oldham
Are you an experienced Media Studies teacher looking to work at an 'Outstanding' school in Oldham?
Due to unforeseen circumstances our client school are currently seeking a Media Studies teacher to cover the summer term, from Easter 2019 until the end of the academic year in the first instance. This is a great opportunity to work at an Ofsted graded 'Outstanding' school in Oldham with a fantastic reputation across Greater Manchester.

Our client school is a mixed gender secondary school in the centre of Oldham. The school is graded by Ofsted as 'Outstanding' across all areas. With a Progress 8 score of 'well above average' (0.54), it is clear that students make good progress. The school is a short walk from the centre of Oldham and is set in an iconic grammar school with state of the art facilities due to recent modernisation and renovations. The school is a short drive from the M60 motorway, and a short walk away from a local tram stop.
"Today media surrounds us wherever we look. There's the internet, TV, film, video games, advertising and marketing, radio, magazines, papers and much more. The course will introduce students to all of these aspects of the media, and give them the opportunity to develop the technical skills they will require to produce their own media products. They will also experience photography, image manipulation and filmmaking." Head of department.
Prospective applicants should have experience teaching GCSE media studies, and have a strong ability to plan and deliver high quality and engaging lessons to a range of different learners. Experience of supporting students with Special Educational Needs is also desirable.
