TP-Tutors is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated Maths Tutors in Hull and surrounding areas. We’re supporting an increasing number of students who need personalised 1:1 help to close learning gaps and build confidence—especially in Maths. Whether you’re guiding them through foundational arithmetic, algebra, geometry, or preparing them for GCSE topics like trigonometry and statistics, your expertise could make a huge difference.

What’s the Role?

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 Maths tuition to students requiring extra support, often outside the classroom.

  • Focus on key areas such as number operations, fractions and decimals, algebraic expressions, geometry, data handling, and exam preparation.

  • Adapt lessons creatively to individual learning styles—flexibility and innovation are essential!

  • Conduct sessions in homes, libraries, schools, or online, based on student needs.

What You’ll Need:

  • Strong understanding of the Maths curriculum and key exam boards

  • Passion for helping learners build confidence and improve their Maths skills

  • Experience working with children or young people (in schools, tutoring, or similar)

  • Valid Enhanced DBS on the update service—or willingness to obtain one with our support

  • Right to work in the UK and two professional references covering the past 24 months

  • Teaching experience or educational background is a bonus but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
