Functional Skills Tutors Needed in Hull – Help Make a Difference!

We are currently seeking Functional Skills Tutors in Hull to support a growing number of young learners who need guidance with their academic studies. As one of our tutors, we expect you to bring energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism to your role, along with a deep commitment to safeguarding and supporting students in their educational journey.

Role Details:

  • Pay: £25-£30 per hour.

  • Location: Tutoring may take place in students' homes or local community spaces like libraries. A full UK driving license is desirable.

  • Hours: Flexible, part-time work to fit around your other commitments.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Strong understanding of the English Language to communicate clearly with students.

  • A passion for helping young people achieve success.

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through TP Tutors).

  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), or other additional needs.

  • Previous teaching experience is highly desirable, but not essential.

  • Knowledge of the Functional Skills curriculum and assessment methods.

  • Professional references from your two most recent employers, covering at least 24 months in your last 10 years.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
