Maths Tutor - Darlington

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit Maths Teachers to tutor pupils on a 1:1 basis throughout the Darlington area. There are various roles available, teaching pupils at risk of exclusion and looked after children from KS2- KS4. The roles are to commence ASAP and will continue throughout the summer term. Tuition roles can offer both part time and full time opportunities.

Many of the pupils are LAC or have been excluded from mainstream provisions so experience working with pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties would be advantageous.

Applications are encouraged from teachers both who have previously tutored or worked in alternative provisions and also from mainstream primary and secondary teachers of all subject specialisms looking for a new challenge and who want to make a difference and promote pupil progress.

Teaching Personnel can offer competitive rates of pay starting from £25 per hour. Pay rates will be negotiated for the right candidate, as well as the opportunity to up skill your professional development by utilising our CPD Academy. You will also be supported by our specialist SEND Team who all come from backgrounds in education and have knowledge of the current market.


  • Have a recognised Teaching Qualification
  • Have a nurturing and patient manner
  • Experience of Teaching for at least 6 months


  • Team- Teach Trained
  • Experience working with SEMH and LAC
