Maths Teacher- Wigan- September 2018

Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Maths Teacher on behalf of our high achieving partner school in Wigan from September 2018:

  • Full time Maths Teacher position
  • Teaching Maths to Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (£22,917- £38,633)
  • Fixed term contract available from September 2018
  • School situated in central Wigan

As a result of internal promotion within the Maths department, an exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Maths teacher to join one of the highest performing schools within the Wigan area. This is a full time position to teach Maths to Key Stages 3 & 4.

This is an exciting time to join the school as they continue to go from strength to strength and enjoy an excellent reputation across the borough. The Maths department in particular, have consistently achieved above the national average results at GCSE. Further, the Senior Leadership team are highly regarded by the Governors and this fosters a positive learning culture that is centred on the school's core values of trust and respect. Pupils respect the teaching staff and all that they do for them.

There are over 1000 pupils on roll with a large percentage of pupils coming from White British backgrounds. Numbers of pupils considered disadvantaged and those who speak English as an Additional Language are below the national average.

It is situated in the south western part of Wigan, close to the M6 motorway. This makes it easily accessible from the surrounding areas of Ashton-in-Makerfield, Winstanley and Hindley. There are also direct public transport links to the school from Wigan town centre.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
