Full time teacher of Maths required for Good Basingstoke School to start April 2020

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a very successful secondary school who are looking to hire a Maths teacher on a full time contract to start in April 2020. This is a permanent position and is suitable for NQTs, as an NQT you will be fully supported throughout your NQT year by a trained mentor.

The school are happy to see applicants from all qualified and unqualified teachers with experience teaching Mathematics to KS4, as well as teachers at any stage of their career. They are happy to pay slightly above your current pay scale point for the correct candidate in this role.

This role incorporates the full responsibilities of a classroom teacher including taking a tutor group, attending afterschool meetings and parents evenings, planning marking and assessing work. Due to the nature of this role being a permanent position the position will also include having a tutor group and the pastoral responsibilities this encompasses.

This Basingstoke school is rated Good by Ofsted who have said “Pupils are confident and articulate. They value their learning and display very positive attitudes. They are proud to be members of the school.” The school have been building on recent successes within their maths department year on year and are currently amongst the highest progress 8 scores in the county.

Located off the M3 this school is easily reachable from Reading, Winchester, Southampton and London with excellent rail routes and local buses running throughout the peak times.
