SEN Maths Teacher

Our Hampshire SEN Branch is currently working exclusively with an outstanding provision in the Portsmouth area and we are looking for experienced SEN Teachers to join our growing team this year. The position is to work with children who have various learning difficulties and are working through specialised curriculum.

The successful Maths Teacher will:

  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box.
  • Demonstrate commitment to professional development and pupils’ learning and development
  • Have good organisational skills with high expectations of achievement and behaviour
  • Have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents and students
  • Good classroom management skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Effectively challenge pupils to achieve, using a range of engaging methods

As an SEN English Teacher, you will support the  pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis and be able to work alongside other professionals including social workers, local authorities to ensure the child's lesson plans are accessible. The school do offer bespoke educational plans for each pupil, so successful candidates will be required to adapt their teaching to each individual pupil.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
