A welcoming one-form entry primary school in Central Preston is seeking a committed Year 3 Teacher to join their established team from 2nd November 2026 on a maternity cover contract through to August 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their practice within a nurturing and collaborative school community.

The Role

You will take responsibility for a Year 3 class of 27 pupils, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that support all children to achieve their full potential.

• A full-time Teaching Assistant providing general classroom support.
• A full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant supporting a pupil with an EHCP.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching within a primary school setting, or is an enthusiastic ECT ready to begin the next stage of their career.
• Has a good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Is committed to delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Has high expectations for behaviour, achievement and presentation.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
• Is organised, proactive and willing to contribute to wider school life.
• Shares the school's commitment to inclusion, equity and pupil wellbeing.

• Competitive daily rate from the start of the assignment.
• Pay in line with Agency Workers Regulations (AWR), with the successful candidate moving onto the equivalent teacher pay scale from Week 12 of the booking.
