Job description

Teaching Personnel are working alongside our partner secondary school in Doncaster to recruit for a Teacher of Maths. This full time Maths teaching position will start from January 2019 and will be until the end of the academic year in the first instance.

The school have also indicated that they are willing to offer the successful Teacher of Maths a fixed-term/permanent contract dependant upon effectiveness within the role:

Teacher of Maths Summary:

  • Teaching the Maths in Core and GCSE Maths across the 11-16 range.
  • To ensure the rapid progress of all students within all year groups/key stages.
  • Excellent subject knowledge to teach the course content to a diverse student population.
  • The ability to establish and develop successful working relationships with the students in the school.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (£22,917- £38,633).

Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teacher of Maths to join a successful Maths department at our partner school. The incoming Maths Teacher will have access to superb facilities due to a recent investment. Further, the Maths department also have several strong links to the city's Universities and local sports clubs. Consequently, Maths is a very popular subject at the school with a large proportion of pupils choosing this as one of their GCSE options.

The school is a large mixed comprehensive that currently caters for over 1000 pupils. The pupil population consists of a diverse range of ethnic backgrounds. It is located on the outskirts of Doncaster city centre which provides excellent transport links to Doncaster and the other areas of Doncaster.
