Maths Teacher
Teaching personnel is searching on behalf of an Ofsted rated ‘GOOD’ school, in the Cambridgeshire area for a Maths teacher to join a highly supportive department on a full time, temporary basis. The role is set to start in September 2021.
- Pay in line with MPS/UPS pay scale
- Working for an Ofsted rated “GOOD” school in Cambridge
- Role starting September 2021 - with the potential for the offering of a permanent contract at the end of initial period
You have the opportunity to join a consistently high achieving team who strive to deliver the best quality of teaching and support for a diverse range of students. The successful candidate will receive support from a close-knit department and will report directly to an approachable head of Mathematics.
The Head of Maths is looking for someone who can successfully influence progress across KS3/KS4 and help further the already high achieving department with superior subject knowledge, excellent classroom management and good relationship building skills. Full teaching responsibilities will be required including curriculum planning, marking and parents’ evenings. The successful candidate will be an NQT or hold QTS.
The ideal candidate:
- Experience teaching mathematics at the KS3/KS4 level, although NQT’s with relevant credentials should still apply
- Excellent classroom management and relationship building
- The ability to work with a diverse range of students
The school itself is an Ofsted rated “GOOD” secondary school in Cambridge with excellent transport links and parking. It prides itself on creating a highly motivated and positive environment where staff and students both work to the common goal of excellence, the SLT are heavily involved and highly supportive with day to day activities within the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
