Full time Maths teacher required from January 2019 for a large mixed comprehensive Secondary school that is based in Leigh.

The Head of Maths seeks to meet with available teachers at their convenience ahead of the schools return from the Christmas break - January 2019.

• Full-time Maths teacher required, January 2019
• Employment from January 2019 until the end of the academic year.
• Pay in line with newly introduced MPS/UPS (£23,720 - £39,406)
• Opportunity for contract extension if successful over the initial temporary period
• Must hold QTS specialising in Maths

The incoming Maths teacher will be required to start in January 2019 in order to cover a staffing gap within the Maths teaching faculty. The school will be offering employment for the remainder of the academic year with opportunities to earn a permanent contract if successful over the initial period.

If successful in your application for this role, you will inherit a full-time Maths teaching timetable that will involve planning and marking responsibilities. You must be able to deliver engaging lessons that will cater for the needs of the different learning styles of your students, finding alternative methods of solving problems.

The Maths department consists of eight full time specialist members of staff. The department is well resourced with specialist rooms and state of the art technology which is used extensively to assist the delivery of lessons.
