Mathematics Teacher Oldham

  • Excellent career progression for future leaders in Mathematics
  • £110 - £165 per day on long term supply initially
  • Earn a permanent contract from September 2017 onwards

Due to internal promotions and a reshuffle in their Mathematics department, our client school a large well-established secondary in Oldham has a need for a Mathematics teacher to join their forward-thinking department ahead of the new calendar year.

* All levels of Mathematics teachers welcome to apply (NQTs included)

* Option to work on supply initially or appointed directly on to school based contract

* Join a school with a commitment to staff development

Our client school is a very large secondary in Oldham, with over 1400 students currently on roll with the vast majority from the local areas of Watersheddings and Spring Hill. The school serves a diverse catchment area with a large of number of students, approximately 45%, speaking English as an Additional Language, which is excellent supported in the school to ensure all students are able to engage fully with the curriculum. Since the appointment of the new Head, the school has seen wide ranging improvements across the curriculum and standards of teaching and learning which have proved dividends as Ofsted noted on their last inspection.

The incoming Mathematics teacher will be required to have the ability to deliver engaging lessons across the age and ability ranges along with a desire to raise attainment and encourage pupil engagement with Mathematics.
