Maths Teacher - Stockport

  • Pay £95-£160 per day dependant on experience
  • Full time Maths post with the potential to become permanent for September
  • Good graded Ofsted school

Secondary school in Stockport requires a Maths teacher from Easter to the end of the academic year. This is a full time Maths teaching position where the successful Maths teacher will be taking on responsibilities for planning, marking and regular pupil assessment.

The school is well known for its supportive nature but have high expectations for pupils and staff. You will be part of a well organised and structured Maths department that is well respected within the school due to their academic results.

Situated in the SK6 post code of Stockport the school is located near a train station and has regular bus routes. Maths NQTs or experienced Maths teachers are welcome to apply for this long term job. Initially on a supply basis to the end of the academic year the school are looking to recruit a Maths teacher on a permanent basis for September so this is an excellent opportunity.

The successful Maths teacher will need to have experience teaching across KS3-GCSE level. Last year the school achieved excellent results with 72% of students achieving at least 5A*C grades.

Maths teachers interested in this post will need to have QTS in the UK; suitable school based references and be eligible for a fully enhanced DBS. The school will be looking to see Mathematicians prior to Easter so you will need to be available for interviews and trials.
