Teacher of Maths

  • Full time position cover maternity with a Ofsted 'Good' catholic school
  • Delivering both KS3 and GCSE within an excellent Maths department
  • Pay in line with your scale point (MPS/UPS)

Maths teacher required to cover maternity leave at a Bolton Catholic Secondary School.

With to a member of staff due to go on maternity leave within the Maths department of this catholic school, the head of Maths of this Ofsted graded ‘Good’ school seeks to appoint a competent and driven maths teacher to join his team in the new academic year.

*Full time Maths teaching position from October 2016

*Teaching within a strong and supportive department where you will receive full support

*Delivering both KS3 and GCSE Maths to well behaved pupils

*Pay in line with your scale point (MPS/UPS)

The head of department is ideally looking for a Maths teacher who is able to consistently deliver ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ teaching practice and is comfortable delivering engaging lessons to pupils of all abilities.

Applicants are required to hold the following;

*QTS specialising within secondary Mathematics

*Strong classroom management skills and be able to build positive relationships with pupils

*Commitment to working within this school for the full academic year

This is a multi cultural school located on the outskirts of Bolton in Farnworth (Short drive from the M61). The school holds excellent facilities and has around 900 pupils on roll. There are an average number of pupils on roll who have learning difficulties and a statement for special needs, as well as a higher than average amount of pupils who are eligible for FSM.
