Teacher of Maths required - January 2017 start - 6 month fixed term contract

• 6 month fixed term contract (January 2017-July 2017)
• Salary between £25,932-£35-571 (negotiable depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel are working with a small but popular & vibrant high school based in the north of Wallasey who are seeking a Maths Teacher to start with them in the New Year. Due to a planned absence the Headteacher is looking to appoint an enthusiastic hard-working and innovative Maths Teacher to join their small but successful team on a full-time basis for 2 terms starting January until July 2017.

The incoming teacher must be able to 'hit the ground running' - They must have a strong subject knowledge and confidence developing resources in order to deliver creative and engaging lessons to either 'Good' or 'Outstanding' standard. A full timetable will be given therefore knowledge and experience teaching to both KS3 and KS4 including higher GCSE Maths (Edexcel) is a must. Also the incoming teacher must be able to deliver small group intervention for targeted pupils working below expected level in order to raise attainment and keep the standards high.

The school is a smaller than average high school with approx 600 pupils on roll from the surrounding areas. It is a multi-cultural, vibrant and popular high school with quite a diverse catchment; the percentage of pupils eligible for pupil premium funding as roughly average and the percentage of pupils with EAL and SEN is below average; behaviour in school is generally excellent and the standards are high implemented by the strong leadership team.
