Full-time Maths teacher required from September 2019 or earlier for a Bolton based secondary Academy. Due to a restructure within the Senior Leadership Team, the Principal is seeking to recruit a passionate Maths teacher to join their faculty in the new academic year, with the potential to begin earlier for the successful candidate.

  • Full-time Maths teacher- September 2019 or earlier.
  • Must hold QTS, alongside subject specific qualification - both experienced and newly qualified Maths teachers will be considered for this position.
  • Access to CPD training programmes throughout the academic year.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23,720 - £39,406.

This smaller than average secondary Academy has been graded 'Good' by Ofsted consistently over the last few years and has since facilitated an environment for the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning amongst all staff.

The successful Maths teacher can expect to join a supportive staff team dedicated in the progression of their pupils and this has been highlighted through the high grades achieved in Mathematics during GCSE Results Day 2018. With a 98% pass rate amongst all students, the pupils are achieving above average within Maths across the school board.

The responsibilities for the incoming Maths teacher will include:

  • Accountable to Curriculum Leader during and throughout post.
  • Promote outstanding pedagogy across the school board, and demonstrate outstanding practice.
  • Identify clear objectives and content within Maths for all pupils including how these will be taught, evaluated and assessed.
  • Organise a stimulating and inspiring learning environment.
  • Ensure regulations regarding Health and Safety are maintained both within the Maths department and the school.

The secondary Academy is located in Farnworth at the border between Bury and Salford; easily accessible via the M61and the surrounding areas, which include Bury, Wigan, Salford and Chorley. Public transport links are also easily accessible, with the Bus and train station a few miles away from the school.
