A Secondary school located in the Derbyshire area close to the city centre are looking to recruit a qualified teacher of Maths in September. This is a full time position whereby the successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain a permanent position.

To be considered for the role you will be expected to organise and plan your own lessons at KS3 and KS4 level, and be willing to help out with the schools extra curricular activities. You must have a genuine passion to support students in their leaning journey and be dedicated to the overall welfare of the school by committing to raising attainment through quality teaching and learning.

The head of department seeks to appoint a Maths teacher who can consistently provide ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ practice to impact the progress of pupils of all abilities. The school are looking for a strong teacher with a proven track record of managing challenging behaviour as this is a requirement the school are looking for within the department, and for the school as a whole.

The school is average in size with around 1000 pupils on roll. The vast majority of children are of white British heritage and the number of pupils with learning difficulties or a statement for special needs is below the national average.
