Academy school in Tameside require a Maths teacher to commence a post to start at Easter after a recent departure. The Maths department is large with 6 full time teachers and an established head of department. With over 700 pupils on roll this school has an immediate need for a Maths teacher who has taught to KS3 and GCSE level.
They aim to “prepare everybody for future success, equipped with the knowledge, passion and skills to positively contribute to their community and the wider world.”
The school achieved a Good grading by Ofsted in their latest report with the leadership and management highlighted as a particular strength. The school is traditional and has a large percentage of students eligible for free school meals. This Maths position is initially on a temporary basis for the final summer term with the potential to carry on in September.
The Maths department is currently achieving results just below national averages so the school are looking for a Mathematician with a proven track record of raising attainment. You will be hold full teaching responsibilities of planning, marking and attending department meetings.
