Full-time Mathematics teacher required to cover a maternity leave June 2019.

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large mixed comprehensive secondary school in the Salford LEA to support with the recruitment of a full-time temporary Mathematics teacher from June 2019. Due to a maternity leave within the faculty, the school wish to appoint a full-time Mathematics teacher before the end of the academic year. The school initially wish to appoint a Mathematics teacher until April 2020 but this may continue past this due to the nature of the requirement.

**Both experienced and Newly Qualified Mathematics teachers are welcome to apply for this position, and the relevant support will be provided by the Mathematics faculty. **

  • Full time Mathematics teacher required, June 2019 start (earlier start may be possible)
  • Teaching a full timetable, across Key Stage Three and GCSE
  • Planning and marking responsibilities are required
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£23,720 - £39,406 per annum)
  • Great location, accessible via the A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the M602 Motorway.

The faculty have been praised for significantly raising attainment across both Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four last academic year, and this improvement is due to continue. The successful Mathematics teacher must be able to display outstanding practice and be willing to partake in extra curricular Mathematics clubs." - Head Teacher

The large mixed comprehensive secondary school has over 1,000 pupils on roll and due to further expansion, the school is due to be refurbished next academic year to create additional space for learning. The Mathematics department has closed classrooms and open learning spaces to encourage inclusive activities and group work.

Located towards the centre of Salford, our client secondary school can be accessed via the M602 Motorway, the A580 is also close to the school. For non drivers, there are an abundance of public transportation links that lead directly to the school from neighbouring areas Bolton, Bury and Leigh.
