Make a Real Difference with TP Tutors – Maths Teachers Wanted in Mansfield

At TP Tutors, we’re committed to transforming education for learners who need it most. We specialise in personalised one-to-one and small group tuition for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

With increasing demand in Mansfield and the surrounding areas, we’re looking for passionate and adaptable Maths Teachers to join our team and provide flexible, targeted support to learners who benefit from personalised teaching.

About the Role

This rewarding opportunity involves teaching Maths in a non-traditional setting, where your expertise will directly impact students’ academic progress and confidence.

You’ll deliver tuition sessions in students’ homes or local educational settings throughout Mansfield, tailoring your approach to meet each learner’s unique needs and learning plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, personalised Maths lessons (one-to-one or small groups)

  • Adapt teaching methods to support different learning styles and abilities

  • Simplify complex concepts to ensure clarity and accessibility

  • Provide clear, constructive written feedback after each session

  • Travel to learner locations within Mansfield and nearby areas

  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum, ideally up to Key Stage 4

  • Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH students

  • Excellent communication and lesson planning skills

  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive learner relationships

  • Up-to-date safeguarding training

  • Enhanced DBS registration on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
