About TP Tutors
At TP Tutors, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality, personalised education that meets the individual needs of every learner. We specialise in providing targeted tuition for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), supporting their academic progress and personal development.

We are currently expanding our team in Nottinghamshire and are seeking experienced Maths Tutors with a strong background in SEND or SEMH education.


Role Overview
As a SEND Maths Tutor, you will work directly with students requiring additional support in mathematics. You will deliver tailored sessions that address individual learning needs, helping students build confidence, strengthen core skills, and make measurable academic progress.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-to-one or small group maths tuition to students with SEND and/or SEMH needs

  • Plan and adapt lessons based on individual learning plans and abilities

  • Use differentiated teaching methods to make maths accessible and engaging

  • Provide clear and concise feedback after each session

  • Travel to homes or educational settings across Nottinghamshire

  • Support students in building numeracy, problem-solving, and exam preparation skills

  • Adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies at all times


Requirements

  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics (preferably up to Key Stage 4)

  • Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH learners

  • Ability to explain mathematical concepts in a clear and approachable manner

  • Skilled at building rapport and engaging students with diverse needs

  • Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities

  • Up-to-date safeguarding training

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
