Maths Teachers Wanted – Make a Real Difference in Calverton, Nottinghamshire

Support Local Learners with TP Tutors

Are you passionate about mathematics and helping young people succeed? At TP Tutors, we provide personalised one-to-one and small group tuition to students who need extra academic support.

We’re currently looking for dedicated and compassionate Maths Teachers to deliver tailored tuition across Calverton and the surrounding areas of Nottinghamshire.


About the Role

This is a rewarding opportunity to teach Maths outside of the traditional classroom, where your support can have a real impact.

You'll work directly with students in their homes or local community settings, delivering engaging and structured lessons that follow individual learning plans and build students' confidence in Maths.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality Maths tuition (1:1 or in small groups)

  • Tailor lessons to suit different learning needs and abilities

  • Break down challenging topics into simple, manageable steps

  • Offer clear, constructive written feedback after each session

  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection policies are always followed


What We’re Looking For

  • Strong subject knowledge of the Maths curriculum

  • Experience supporting students with SEND and/or SEMH needs

  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills

  • A patient, supportive, and flexible teaching approach

  • Current safeguarding training

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
