Central Manchester based secondary school looking ahead to when schools reopen:
Full time Maths teacher is required to start on Monday 7th September for the full Autumn term on a supply basis. This is an open vacancy at this supportive, reputable school part of a wider well known trust of schools in Greater Manchester. The successful Mathematician will be teaching to GCSE level and have the potential to move onto school based contract following the Christmas break.
Students are split into 3 ability cohorts with top set, middle and bottom set students. If you have a particular specialism or set of experience, then please make this known on your application as there is room for manoeuvre in the timetable. Applications are being accepted and encouraged from teachers of all experience levels.
Highlights of this Mathematics teaching position:
- Pay will be dependent upon payscale, and range between the equivalent of GBP2400 - GBP3000 per month
- Full time Maths teacher required: starting Monday 7th September at the beginning of the new academic year
- 1 term’s Maths teaching position on a supply basis with view to progressing onto a school based contract
- Reputable secondary located in the central Manchester area: part of a wider trust of schools
The school are expecting a Maths teacher who fully immerses themselves in school life, willing to take on all additional responsibility including planning, marking and all parents’ evenings. The opportunity is a long term, open gap within the Maths teacher with the successful Mathematics teacher expected to take on the role as a permanent teacher.
The school’s SLT has been praised as highly supportive with the Head of Mathematics being instrumental in the department’s success thus far. The department is flourishing, with staff retention across the entire school at an all time high.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
