The School:
A Catholic Secondary School in Lincoln who are celebrating their best ever GCSE Exam Results in Mathematics, with a 74% A*-C and A-Level Results coming in at a very impressive 100% Pass Rate. After a recent OFSTED Monitoring Inspection in April 2015, the report reads as follows:
There has been rapid improvement since the monitoring inspection conducted in November 2015. The school action plan is now fit for purpose. Planning is regularly reviewed by leaders and governors to make sure that planned actions are having the required impact. Leaders, including governors, now have an accurate view of the school’s strengths and areas of weakness.
The Role:
A qualified Maths Teacher to deliver lessons to GCSE and possibly A-Level Students every Monday and Friday until the end of the Academic Year. There is the opportunity to gain a permanent contract for the ideal candidate. You will be expected to plan and prepare your lessons, in accordance with the National Curriculum and with the ability of all of the pupils at the fore-front of your mind.
In return, you will receive support from the Senior Leadership Team, your Head of Department and colleagues. Plus, a daily rate that will reflect the effort being put into the work.
The Candidate:
You must hold QTS or have a relevant Degree and Teaching Experience. You need to have successful recent Key Stage 4 experience and ideally have experience delivering Maths to Key Stage 5 students. As a minimum requirement you need experience of working with others to develop teaching and learning innovations.
