Teaching Personnel Bristol are currently recruiting for a Maths Teacher to join a Secondary school in Bristol. This position is full time and will begin in September 2018. Are you interested?

About the Role:

You will be joining the school for the academic year 18/19 and begin in September 2018.

The successful candidate will be confident in teaching Maths KS3 and GCSE. The ability to teach A Level is not a requirement although is desirable.

As this is a full time role you will be helping pupils progress through detailed planning and assessment. The responsibilities of planning and marking will be reflected in your pay.

The pay rate for this role will be between ÂŁ110-165 a day dependant on experience.

NQTs are also welcome to apply.

You must hold a valid DBS and be on the update service - if you need help applying for this then Teaching Personnel can provide guidance on how to do so.

About the School:

"We are an ambitious school and have high aspirations and expectations for every member of our community. There is a determination to ensure that we are all successful whilst maintaining a happy, safe and caring learning environment." - Headteacher

The school is a mixed comprehensive school for children ages 11-18 in the North Bristol area. The school is part of the Castle School Education Trust.

"Castle School Education Trust is committed to high quality education across the primary, secondary and sixth form key stages. Our schools cover the South Gloucestershire area. We encourage independence within each school within a strong framework of values."

The latest OFSTED report does state that the school requires improvement, although since this the school has been taken under new management and is due a new inspection.

The school has put in many procedures to ensure improvements have been made and is confident in the next report they will have achieved 'GOOD' in some categories. Leaders and managers are taking effective action and the school's improvement plans are fit for purpose.

However, pupil engagement is still an issue with pupils' attendance being below average, particularly for girls and disadvantaged pupils.

The school needs any new staff it employs to be aware of this and help to combat this issue.

Benefits of working with Teaching Personnel:

  • Specialist Recruitment Consultant dedicated to finding you work and offering support.
  • Competitive and Fair Pay Rate
  • Access to our CPD Academy - this provides you with opportunities to take courses such as 'Team Teach' and 'Child Protection Training'
  • Refer a Friend Scheme - financial benefits for every friend that joins us!
  • Weekly Pay - you will be paid weekly directly into your bank account

If this is a role that interests you then please apply with your CV.
