Full time Year 7 Catch up Mathematics Graduate Tutors required from September 2018, for a Salford based RC Faith School.

Year 7 Catch up:

The Literacy and Numeracy Catch-up Premium gives state-funded schools additional funding to support Year 7 pupils who did not achieve the expected standard in reading or Mathematics at the end of Key Stage 2 (KS2).

  • Full time and part time Mathematics Graduate Tutors required for Year 7 Catch up - Salford based RC Faith School.
  • Must hold subject specific qualifications within Mathematics to be considered, alongside experience working with young people within a classroom capacity.

  • Earn up to £1200+ per month, dependant upon qualifications and experience.*

The incoming Year 7 Catch up Mathematics Graduate Tutors will be required to support with the transition for Year 7 pupils up coming from Key Stage 2 in Mathematics. The bridge between them and their peers can be prevalent when assessed against national expected averages within Mathematics, and the introduction of Mathematics Graduate Tutors can help to reduce this.

  • Extensive subject knowledge is essential; supporting within the Mathematics department will be highly advantageous as experience will be highly applicable.
  • Confidence in ability to build positive relationship with pupils and promote a Growth Mind-Set.
  • Deliver Mathematics sessions at Key Stage 3 level to pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and deliver pre-planned Maths sessions to low achieving pupils.

Salford is easily accessible via major road links, the A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bury, Bolton and Wigan. There are also various public transport options readily available.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
