Job description

A School based in the Leyland area are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work with their pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis. The pupils who attend this School often have SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and pupils who display challenging behaviours! The School currently caters for pupils aged between 10 - 17 years of age and they currently have around 45 pupils on roll. The School are seeking at least one more Teaching Assistant to join their expanding team but they may possibly need two!

The School are looking for a hard working, empathetic, enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant who is happy to work with pupils who display challenging behaviours. The School are looking for a candidate to work on a full time basis from the October half term.

The candidate must be willing to work with pupils who display challenging behaviours and ideally hold their Team Teach qualification but this is not essential.

The role will start after the October half term and candidates may be expected to work one voluntary day in School so the Head Teacher can ascertain your suitability for the role.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- negotiable pay rates £54 - 60 per day

- long term position available

- rewarding position supporting pupils with SEN/SEMH Difficulties
