Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a level 3 teaching assistant or an individual with teaching assistant experience working towards their level 3 to work at a client school based in Newport. The client school caters for pupils that display challenging behaviour. They may also be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety,Tourette's syndrome or epilepsy. You will be asked to work within a KS2 class engaging and supporting the pupils with their daily routines. Successful candidates will have excellent behaviour management skills and some experience of working with ASD. If successful you will be asked to work within regular school hours of 9:00-3:30 however, you will be expected to be in by 8:30. Your pay will be based on experience, ranging from £54.00-£60.00 a day. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a level 3 teaching assistant qualification
  • Team Teach Trained (desirable) Training can be provided
  • Have strong behaviour management skills
  • Have good communication skills

  • Show great resilience
  • Manual handling trained (desirable)
  • Have a passion for helping others

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
