Learning Support Assistants - Wilmslow

Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work at one of our reputable secondary schools in Wilmslow, starting from September 2019.

As a learning support assistant, you will be responsible for providing general SEN support to pupils with Autism and other mild learning needs to ensure they reach their full potential across a range of subjects.

  • Work in an Ofsted rated 'Good' secondary school
  • Earn up to £350 a week, paid on a weekly basis

The ideal candidate will be patient and understanding of SEN and have previous experience working in a close environment with young people aged 11-16, especially those with additional needs such as Autism. Knowledge of the current KS3 and KS4 is desirable as you will be supporting pupils across a range of subjects. The incoming learning support assistants will be able to build a rapport with identified pupils and have an enthusiastic approach to learning, in order to deliver successful intervention sessions in small groups/1:1 and tailor the support appropriately.

You will join a welcoming support team within this large, mixed secondary school in Wilmslow which boasts high pupil attainment and good behaviour. In the recent Ofsted inspection, the school was graded 'Good' across all departments. The school is located just out of Wilmslow town centre and is very accessible to those who live in and around south Manchester e.g. Trafford, Tameside and Stockport. The school offer a secure, onsite car park for members of staff and for those on public transport, the school is located close to the local train station (Wilmslow) and other local bus routes.
