Science Teacher Required

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Secondary School based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a full-time Science Teacher to start in January.

This is a great opportunity for an ECT to start their career within a mainstream school.

About the role:

• Start-date: 5^th January
• Ongoing role until the end of the academic year
• Paid to scale

As a Science Teacher, you will teach KS3 students, planning and delivering engaging lessons which follow the national curriculum. You will also be expected to plan practical lab lessons and deliver these safely. Additionally, you will assess pupils both formally and informally, providing live and written feedback. From this, you will be able to identify any students who require additional learning support and work with support staff to put this in place.

What we’re looking for:

• QTS with strong background in science
• Experience teaching at KS3 level (teacher training placements included)
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and current teaching techniques
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
