1:1 Learning Support Assistant 

  • Are you an experienced Teaching assistant ?
  • Have you had any experience working with SEN pupils?
  • Do you have experience working with EYFS?

Teaching personnel are delighted to say we have a full time 1:1 Learning Support Assistant position we are currently advertising for a primary school located in Beccles. This single form entry form primary school consists of 100 pupils, the school prides itself on enabling their pupils to develop confidence, resilience, positivity and an embrace of life long learning.  The school aims to offer the chosen applicant an enriching environment in which they can develop professionally whilst feeling valued and fully supported. The chosen applicant can rest assured they will enjoy a healthy work-life balance whilst making a really positive impact on the pupils and school.

Due to the large amount of time that pupils have spent away from school the need for 1:1 tuition and catch up sessions will be at an all time high. 

The role in question would be primarily based around 1:1 work with a number of KS1-KS2 pupils who require additional catch up support in the new academic year. The pupils in question would require help in completing their day to day school activities. This may also involve; behaviour guidance, creating positive relationships with other pupils and boosting confidence and self-esteem.

The role would also include:

  • Aiding the teacher with the general  day to day running of the class
  • Upholding the values  of the school
  • Aiding the teacher with the set-up and set-down of the classroom

The ideal candidate for the role would have:

  • A desire to expand their knowledge and skill set in the educational sector
  • Experiences working in a teaching assistant role
  • Experience working with SEN pupils
  • Safeguarding qualifications (desired, not essential)
  • Teaching assistant qualifications
  • A positive and reliable working attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
