  • Working within a large Secondary School in North Sheffield from January 2017
  • Attractive daily rates of pay, up to £75 per day depending upon previous experiences
  • Knowledge and understanding of a range of additional learning needs, such as ASC and MLD

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for work in North Sheffield? A large Secondary School in Sheffield have a current requirement for learning support and SEN specialists from January 2017.

The school are seeking to hire an individual who has a strong background in working with students who have additional learning needs, including ASC, and MLD. The successful Learning Support Assistant will be available from January 2017, and will have the opportunity to obtain a permanent role later in the academic year. Strong knowledge of methods of engagement for students with additional learning needs Experience working with students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis Methods of de-escalating challenging behaviour.

The incoming Learning Support Assistant will join a large well established SEN department, and will be expected to engage in their previous skills to begin working with students immediately. The SENCO is willing to consider applications from Graduates, qualified LSA's and experienced support staff.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
