Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Gainsborough

Hourly Rate: £9 - £11

Start Date: ASAP

If so, Teaching Personnel may have the perfect role for you. We are recruiting on behalf of a Special Educational Needs School in Gainsborough who are seeking a LSA/TA to work across their KS3 - KS4 classes. As a Learning Support Assistant you will be required to work with a range of SEN including Autism, MLD and SEMH. This could be on both 1:1 and on a whole class basis depending on the requirements of the school and students. Working 1:1 may mean you support students with challenging behaviour and helping with promoting engagement in the classroom. You may also be responsible for supporting the class teacher in setting up and delivering classroom based activities.

This position is due to start as soon as possible and is subject to an Enhanced Child Only DBS check. To be considered for this role you must have:

  1. At least 5 GCSEs A* - C (including English and Maths)
  2. Experience working/volunteering within an educational based setting
  3. A confident, outgoing and nurturing personality
  4. A desire to support the social, emotional and intellectual development of each pupil within the school
  5. A strong knowledge and understanding or various Special Educational Needs

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
