• Full time Learning Mentor role from September 2020
• Initial fixed term contract for 12 months

As a Learning Mentor at this smaller than average secondary school in Prestwich, the successful candidate will join a large and friendly pastoral team supporting a number of identified students across all year groups, as well as reporting on students’ progress.  Students may have poor punctuality and attendance, organisational issues or social and emotional complexities. This is a highly rewarding role that requires a calm and patient manner as well as resilience. Prospective candidates from roles linked with young people such as youth work and sports coaching are encouraged to apply as they will hold many transferrable skills.

This small than average secondary school is located a short drive from the M60 motorway and close to several public transports amenities including a Metrolink tram stop. Since appointing a new Headteacher in 2017, the school has consistently posted excellent GCSE results with a strong focus being on preparing students for life after school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
