Teaching Personnel Plymouth is seeking enthusiastic mentors to work with various children who are no longer in mainstream education across Plymouth. If you have a background in teaching, support work, youth work, coaching or any other child and education related role, please read on!
The role is to support pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis with their school work but also social engagement and well-being. You will work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, term time only and to start in January 2019. You MUST have a full clean driving licence with access to your own car as you may be needed to take your child out.
The successful candidate will have:
- A full, clean driving licence with access to a car to use daily.
- Be passionate and enthusiastic to work with pupils within the setting to enhance their learning and support their welfare and mental health.
- Must have experience of working with young people and will have had experience of working within the education or healthcare sector and with multi-agencies.
- Will be proactive and eager to carry out responsibilities.
- Need to have NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or similar.
