Job description

Teaching Personnel have a vacancy for a qualified English Teacher in the Hull Area. We require a KS4 dedicated English Teacher to deliver an engaging and robust curriculum to students. The successful applicant will need to have experience of teaching English Literature and English Language to KS4 level. You will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to plan and assess to a very high standard to drive results forward in English and ensure that all students are given the opportunities and support to flourish.

You will be required to deliver an engaging and enriching curriculum to students of varying abilities in Years 10 and 11. Behaviour across the school is well managed but can be challenging due to the nature of the student

The successful applicant will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
  • Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
  • Previous experience of teaching in the UK
  • Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum requirements for English
  • Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
  • The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
  • Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
  • A commitment to improving attainment for all students
  • A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
