NQT desperately sort after for a Part-Time Intervention Teacher position in Tameside.
Key things:
Support Year 5 classes in a 2 form entry school, taking a range of different ability groups of pupils, to bridge gaps in Numeracy and Literacy.
PPA timetabled to plan interventions and assess pupil progress with class teacher support.
Excellent opportunity for an NQT to develop as a teacher without the pressure of whole class teaching!
The role:
A school requires a Full-Time Year 5 Intervention Teacher to lead Numeracy and Literacy Interventions with different ability groups starting after Easter. The role will involve planning, delivering and assessing group interventions to accelerate children's learning. This is a great opportunity to work with children of varying abilities whilst liaising with the class teacher about their progress.

This Ofsted graded 'Good school in Stockport (SK6) has a very calm, focused learning environment, where respect and achievement is strongly valued. The staff are all very helpful and supportive of new members of the team when they arrive. The school is very active in the local community and parents, and other voluntary support staff, actively develop pupils learning daily within the school. The children are polite and inquisitive and have developed a real excitement for learning which has been successfully fostered by the school. It is a great environment in which to work with warm, welcoming staff and a senior leadership team with a clear vision of how they want to develop in the future.
The candidate:
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a passion for raising pupil's attainment and be very reliable. Desirable candidates will have a working knowledge of the new curriculum, be great team players and work extremely hard to ensure pupils attain all their targets.
This role is a great opportunity to work with a supportive, efficient welcoming staff team. The school atmosphere is warm and welcoming and continuous staff training is strongly promoted by the head teacher.
