About the School:

Caters for 131 children between the ages of 2 and 19 with profound and multiple (PMLD), Severe (SLD) or complex learning difficulties. Some children have additional sensory or physical impairments, speech and language disorders or medical needs, others are on the autistic spectrum. This SEN school aims to give every pupil the very best education in an environment which is kind, supportive and fun.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a respectful, caring and considerate teacher (with QTS) who has the ability to:

• Plan, prepare and research lessons whilst differentiating lesson plans, to meet the students’ needs
• Making use of special facilities and/or equipment
• Work with students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
• Encourage personal development
• Liaise with parents, external agencies and a range of other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and educational psychologists
• Coordinate the work of support staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
