Pay: £140 - £180 per day (dependent on experience)

A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Milton Keynes is seeking a qualified Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher to cover a maternity leave from February half term through to the end of the academic year. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact during a key transition stage as pupils prepare for the next step in their education.

You will take full responsibility for an Upper KS2 class, delivering engaging and structured lessons that challenge, motivate, and support learners academically and personally. The school benefits from strong leadership, a collaborative staff team, and a positive learning culture.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Upper KS2 curriculum

• Prepare pupils effectively for end-of-key-stage expectations

• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

• Assess, track, and report on pupil progress

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents

• Support pupils’ academic progress, confidence, and wellbeing

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2

• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations

• Confident classroom management skills

• A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic teaching approach
