Found in Central London (Camden) this is a charming and well led primary, easily accessible by public transport. This is a school who have a creative and imaginative approach to teaching and education. However they place huge importance on treating each pupil as an individual, ensuring the most appropriate education is provided and if additional support is required that it is provided in an effective and consistent manner, this is where this 1:1 Teaching Assistant / KS1 Teaching Assistant comes into play. In regards to their staff, they enjoy a very stable work force and provide ongoing training support to ensure everyone is making progress and has every opportunity to reach their personal goals and targets. About the Role:
In this exciting 1:1 Teaching Assistant / KS1 Teaching Assistant position you will be working primarily on an individual basis with a young boy in KS1 who has been identified as on the Autism Spectrum. He can sometimes display disruptive behaviour and can be quite withdrawn from the learning process and really needs someone who can explore innovative approaches to ensuring he engages with the day to day teaching. If you have previous experience of dealing with a similar student and team teach experience you will be very appealing to the school. You can be assured of the fact you will be working in a supportive culture, enabled by the highly-skilled Special Educational Needs Coordinator who will be on hand to offer guidance and support to you from your first day to the last.

Person Specification:
The ideal candidate for this 1:1 Teaching Assistant / KS1 Teaching Assistant will be a determined graduate who already has experience supporting SEN or more specifically children with ASD. The ability to engage pupils in the learning process is key and therefore you should be open and adept at exploring different teaching styles and techniques. The perfect candidate will be able to step up to the plate and take a lead in the classroom from the word "go", enjoying the responsibility for the pupil's learning as well as their social and emotional development. You must be tenacious and determined, with the drive to overcome challenges and obstacles to learning through clear thinking and positivity.
