Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist SEND school in the Leyburn area (DL8) to recruit a full time Teaching Assistant to support students in Key Stages 3 and 4 with PMLD on a temporary basis, with a strong potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate. The role will commence ASAP and will involve working with a small class of students with profound learning difficulties of varying natures. In this role, you will be working alongside a team of experienced SEND Teachers and Teaching Assistants in an SEND School with a lovely community feel. A Moving and Handling qualification is beneficial but not mandatory, care work and other relevant experience is also considered.

The ideal candidate will have:

-At least three months experience in an SEND environment

-TA Level 3 Qualification (relevant care experience/degree is also considered)

- Excellent behaviour management skills

- A patient and caring attitude
