Key stage 4 Science Teacher - Manchester

A Secondary Special School situated in Manchester are currently looking to appoint a Key Stage 4 Science Teacher who is able to start in January 2019.

The Setting is a Specialist Secondary School which is identified as a Pupil Referral Unit. The Setting operates across 9 different sites in Manchester so the successful Teacher will need to have a Drivers Licence and access to their own car as the role will involve travelling between sites. The Setting caters for pupils who are being educated outside of mainstream education and pupils who attend the Setting have a range of needs including: SEMH needs and challenging behaviours.

This particular role will involve working in Key Stage 4 delivering supporting pupils in reaching their optimal potential in GCSE Science. The main area of focus will be Biology so this position would be suitable for a Qualified Science Teacher who is extremely passionate about teaching Biology. Due to the nature of the needs of the pupils they can be prone to aggressive outbursts so ideal Teachers will have experience working within a PRU or a Setting similar.
