Intervention Support Assistant required in Wigan

Are you experienced providing Maths and English Interventions? Do you have examples of where you have been able to make a real difference in children's learning? Would you like to work in a school where you can be come a valued member of a KS2 team?

If so a larger than average primary school located in the Abram area of Wigan, is currently looking to appoint a support assistant to carry out small group and 1:1 interventions across Year 5 and Year 6. The school is currently graded as 'Good' by ofsted and is looking for someone who is able to provide specific interventions that a tailored to the needs of each individual's needs. The school aims for its pupils to be challenged and to be able to work to their full potential and achieving the best outcomes possible for each individual, no matter of their needs or the barriers to learning that they may face. Therefore the school has a real passion to allow pupils to succeed and to be able to provide them with the skills to enable them to do so.

In order to be successful for this role, you will need to:

  • Have experience raising the attainment of pupils.
  • Have a strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
  • Be flexible and adaptable.
  • Be a strong communicator and be able to work as part of a team.
  • Be able to implement effective behaviour management techniques.
  • Have a real passion to make a difference to children's learning journeys.
  • Have experience carrying out both Maths and English Interventions.
