Inclusion Learning Support Assistant

The school based in the Bognor Regis area is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, yet empathetic Teaching Assistant to support students in a mainstream setting who may have social, emotional, and mental health related barriers to their learning. As a Teaching Assistant at this school, you will join an established team of teachers and support staff and will work in collaboration with one another to improve the outcomes of the students you work with.

The successful candidate will be required to be proactive, understanding and prepared to work on a 1:1 and small group basis. The role would be suited to someone who has strong literacy and numeracy skills as they would be required to deliver targeted intervention sessions with students identified to be affected the most academically by school closure.

In addition to your role as a Teaching Assistant and Mentor, at times you will be required to supervise students at break and lunch times offered specific activities to students on a rota basis.

The school is looking for someone who has a genuine desire to have a positive impact on students both academically and emotionally. The role would be well suited to a bright graduate who has an education or psychology related degree and a minimum of C grade in English and Maths. You should be a good listener, patient and caring by nature with a good sense of humour and passionate about your continual professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
