An Academy School are in search of a Humanities Teacher who can deliver both Geography and History, but who is also able to deliver the subjects to their smaller nurture classes. The School is a large site with over 1200 pupil on roll, with an inclusive attitude towards learning. The Head Teacher is in search of someone who is able to slot into their community, doesn't shy away from behaviour and is forward thinking in their approach to learning.

Your role will include:

• To teach Humanities to groups of students from all abilities across years 7 – 11
• To ensure that all lessons are planned with clear aims and objectives in accordance to the academy trust
• To ensure that all lessons are delivered in line with the departmental schemes of work and school policies
• To take into account the differing ability lessons of students and differentiate work accordingly
• To encourage all students to be actively engaged in their own learning and in reviewing their progress against targets
• To ensure that all students are known by name and that the classroom atmosphere is positive at all times
• To encourage and foster intellectual curiosity

This position is to begin in April 2021, though could start sooner if you are available. You must have QTS and ideally be an experienced practitioner. The school can consider anyone from MP2 - UPS3.

The school provide parking on site, though have excellent links to public transport including a large train station a short walk away.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
