Are you an NQT of Humanities in search of a permanent teaching position?

Available to begin work ASAP?

 

We are current seeking a teacher of Humanities (can be any specialism) to work with our partner Academy school in Portsmouth, Hampshire. The school are looking to recruit for this position as soon as possible and would like to welcome the successful applicant into their school on a permanent basis. 

 

Specifically the school are looking for:

  • Someone who is able to build rapport with pupils who have a range of backgrounds
  • A Teacher who is able to engage pupils through their own passion in their subject area
  • A Teacher who is firm and fair in their approach to discipline and can carefully follow the schools guidelines and procedures on behaviour
  • Someone who is able to take guidance from the Academy in their NQT training
  • Excellent levels of adaptability to each day
  • A Teacher with experience/the desire to work with both mainstream and SEN pupils

 

The school is well supported by their Academy with training days away from your site to learn and expand knowledge for all staff within the trust. The School runs an excellent NQT program to support its teachers in successfully achieving throughout their first years teaching, to provide a smooth transition to your 2nd year in education. The Academy recently was praised for its CPD opportunities at every stage of a teachers career and its ability utilise the trust positively to provide training opportunities for all. Locally, the school has an executive principle who is heavily involved in the school and those in the surrounding area to ensure progress, well-being, feedback and monitoring to help guide their staff and allow them to excel from the start of their teaching career.

 

The role would include a mixed timetable across Humanities subjects (prioritising your specialism) and will also include working with their Nurture SEN groups to deliver subject specialist lessons to their classes with the support of their 1:1 and shared class TA's. The timetable will offer you a varied week that will provide amble opportunities for increase subject knowledge and experience working with their most vulnerable pupils. The Humanities team are well established with a successful long-standing HOD to offer guidance and support to get you started within the school.

 

The school has excellent public transport links and can be easily accessed via car, bus or train. The school encourages a shared drivers scheme for those coming by car, and for those coming by train or bus, the stations are a short 3 minute walk from the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
