History Teacher - South Shields

An 'Outstanding' school based in South Shields are currently seeking an excellent History specialist to cover maternity within their department, commencing after Easter. Teachers applying to this role should ideally be able to cover KS3-5, ideally with experience preparing students for exams and tracking their progress. NQTs will also be considered for this role, as the school are keen to trial individuals with engaging new methods of teaching.

OVERVIEW

  • Maternity cover commencing after Easter
  • Delivering History curriculum across KS3-5, producing exciting lesson plans to grasp the attention of students
  • Opportunity to work on a full-time basis
  • Evaluating class work against criteria set by exam board, creating a plan-of-action to ensure the continued progression of all students
  • Fantastic rates of pay-ranging from £120-150 daily
  • Possibility of being offered a fixed-term contract (at the discretion of the school)
  • Ability to demonstrate a variation of teaching skills, showing conscientiousness towards the individual learning needs of students
